  Noted events in his life were:

• Sometime around September 1876 Jesse James and his gang holed up in Ole and Anna's home. As the story goes it was around the time of the famous Northfield Bank robery but it was unclear if this took place before or after the bank robery. The James brothers were reported to be polite during the time they were at the Pederson residence and no one was harmed while they were there. The main thing they wanted was food water and shelter for the night after which they went on their way.
