Krystle Lowe
Krystle Davey Lowe, 7, Olathe, died Friday, June 1, 2001, at Children's Mercy Hospital. She was a lifelong Olathe resident. She had just completed first grade at Sunnyside Elementary School in Olathe. From a very young age she has been actively competing in quarter horse shows with her horse "Leaguers Foxy Lady." She was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, the Kansas Quarter Horse Association, Northeast Kansas Quarter Horse Association and the MidSouth Quarter Horse Association. Within the American Quarter Horse Association she recorded more than 1,000 hours in the horseback riding program. She leaves her parents, David W. and Teri J. Lowe, of the home; two sisters, Heather E. and Britney T. Lowe of the home; her paternal grandmother, Rosalie (Staten) Lowe, Olathe; and her maternal grandparents, Walter M. and Betty (Schmalz) Gravenstein, Spring Hill. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 143rd and Black Bob Road where friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to the Children's Mercy Hospital Trauma Unit in lieu of flowers.
