2 Newspaper Article, Printed in Pipestone Pipes on December 2, 2004
100 YEARS AGO December 2, 1904: Peter Urness was drunk yesterday morning and raised a disturbance at his home in this city. Chief of Police Brown was called and attempted to take Urness to the city cooler, but the fellow resisted arrest and the chief had to literally drag him for a distance of a block. Then a team and carriage was procured and in the improvised "patrol wagon," the prisoner was finally brought to the jail, where he remained until this morning. He was arraigned before Judge Kepner, charged with being drunk and disorderly. The magistrate imposed a fine of $5 and costs, which were paid.
