June 1995 to May 2003 - Test Technology Center. Customer Support/Programmer for VLSI test systems

Last major project: Wrote a WEB/e-mail based Return Material Authorization (RMA) system which is used by all TI test sites to request parts for failed components for test systems world wide. Software included functions for analysis of board failures and hardware tracking.

Responsible for tester diagnostic software development.  Provided customer support for hardware and software problems on VLSI test systems.

August 1985 to June 1995 - Assigned to Dallas Linear Department. Responsible for computer system and local area network support.

System administrator for Micro VAX 3800 systems, running the Ultrix operating system, which are used as host computers for approximately 30 remote computer based test systems.

Software assignments include application program development for database manipulation, report generation, quality control, network communications, and system administration. Familiar with Pascal, Basic, c and shell script programming.

Provide user support for product engineering groups (approximately 150 users) regarding all aspects of system enhancements, operation, capabilities and problems.

Design and support of software used on IBM PC compatible computers for analysis of production test data.

 

January 1980 to August 1985 - Assigned to Factory Systems Integration Department. Responsible for manufacturing, checkout, installation and training for computer network communications equipment used in Texas Instruments manufacturing areas.

Project manager for three manufacturing projects involving implementation of network hardware interfaces. Manufacturing responsibilities included coordination of projects through planning, purchasing, assembly, checkout and shipment phases as well as control of project financial integrity to assure profitability.

Provided customer support and proposals for network configurations designed for specific customer applications.

Duties included installation of equipment and software, and training of engineering personnel at domestic and international sites.

 

November 1975 to January 1980 - Assigned to Electron Beam Lithography Group. Responsible for the design and checkout of system subassemblies.

Supervisor of electronic assembly and test technicians. Coordinated the assembly and checkout of E-Beam electronic equipment.

Responsible for electronic design of system subassemblies, including stepping motor controllers, servo motor controllers, and various other microprocessor based machine control devices.

Familiar with all phases of system development including design, prototyping, assembly, system and component level checkout, PC layout, drafting, and assembly language programming.

FEBRUARY 1975 to NOVEMBER 1975 - Warrex Computer Corporation

Lead Customer Service Engineer: Supervisor of customer service engineering department.

Provided customer support for Warrex computer systems including disk drives, terminals, printers, CPU and interface hardware.

Set up manufacturing facility for manufacturing the Warrex "Centurion" computer system.

Duties included system and component level troubleshooting.
